If you have an AV, run it! If not, you may need to boot to safe mode (tapping F8 when rebooting pc) and see if you can remove it or locate it from there. Are you sure its the virus that is not allowing the connection? Can you ping www.yahoo.com from a command window?

If you already have an antivirus program installed and updated with the latest definitions, then you may want to run a virus scan and try to delete anything that is says is infected.
Also, you may want to run a spyware scanner program to try and rid yourself of any spyware that you may have also.
If you don't have any of these, you can purchase Norton and McAfee from stores such as Best Buy I believe.
Also, you can download the anti-spyware program from the Internet on another computer and then burn it to a CD. From that point, you can install it to your laptop and you're good to go.
Good luck and please stay safe!

dont worry..
Just go to any Cyber CAfe or internet cafe.
Go to avast.com
Download a application to directly scan your pc without installing the antivirus onto your laptop.BY using a Usb flash drive. (aswclnr.exe)
this will solve your problem temporaryly, so after that u can access the web.
Go N updated your antivirus database properly. Next search the virus name n download its cure.
That should fix it.
Good luck :P

Start in safe mode with networking by pressing F8 during boot. Then download and update virus and spyware scanners. Run the scans and you should be able to restart normally.
