See, at the left of the URL in the address bar up there you can see the Yahoo Answers logo - they do that on many sites. How can I do it with mine?

You mean a favicon. There are on-line favicon generators like this one http://tools.dynamicdrive.com/favicon/ they also tell you what you need to do.
