My son's computer is running Windows 2000 Professional. It runs very slow and has viruses on it. I want to reformat his computer so I can get rid of viruses but want to downgrade his to Windows 98SE. I found a site where I can get boot disks but am unsure whether that is what I need, or if I need an actual OS disk.

I have windows XP and I have Network Magic for managing my network if that helps. When I right click on my scanner it doesn't list any options of sharing it so I am not sure how to do it but I'm not sure why it wouldn't be possible.

~~~Now that I have uploaded my new Digt camera,,and have just transfered my photos to Yahoo Photo album. Can I delete the photos that are on my Cdrive from when I downloaded from my digt camera? I also have photos in my email acct, that are now on my yahoo photo album. If I deleat from my email account, will the photos still be in my yahoo photo album,,,,? And for anyone wondering,,,umm nope,,,I havent been under a rock,,,,Im kinda old fashion when it comes to technology,,but I figure its time to join in todays day and age,,,,, :)

I'd imagine that the best time would be the late evening if you are sitting in North America anywhere, since most people would be on the system at this time (given the time zones in North America....and assuming that most users are in North America....I don't know how many international users are on here).

What time do you think is best?????

I no longer even have the little speaker icon near the clock, and when i try to play a song on itunes it wont even play so im not really sure what i deleted and when i go to my control panel and go to audio device is it says that none are avalible yet i have speakers hooked up and i am sure they work..please help me with this problem if you can and soon please ..Thank You

I defrag (registry too), scan for spyware/viruses, delete all cookies and temp files, and delete crap on my pc every other week. It is a new inspiron 9300.

i wanted to get some windows updates, so i downloaded the three 'updates installer' items it states are neccsary on the site. I CANCELLED it AFTER it had downloaded them but before it INSTALLED them.
the downloads include the "windows genuine advantage validation tool" and i now want to remove all three items as i decided 'if they're nothing wrong why fix it?'

surely as they have only been downloaded (and NOT installed) i can remove them without doing a system retore?

as they are not installed they cannot be removed using "remove programs" tool, and even if they were you can only remove the installer (not the validation tool).

Please help!

I love Mac products (i have an ipod, shuffle and nano) but I want to know if it's worth buying a 2.0 Ghz 13-inch Mac Book cuz i'm going to buy a laptop, and I really love the design of the new ibook, but I also like the VAIO's looks

but i have all my life used windows OS and I`m not sure if it would be a good idea to chage drastically of OS with mac (i tend to use this laptop for everything, house, school, etc.)

so please guys help out here!!

I tryed to do a system restore. which has always worked.
this time i can no longer do a system restore.

I can't find yahoo Beta listed on add/remove or in my start or program menus. If I switch back to regular yahoo and then try to get Beta again it won't let me reinstall. I like the Yahoo beta but I really like having a magnfier so handy. I don't like the one that comes with Windows

I believe a ton of people have had problems with Flash Player 9 lately, and I am one of them. It began with YouTube. It told me my java settings were not correct or I needed to install the lastest Flash Player. Well, I did both of those things (by following advice from other people) and I'm still getting the same message. I wanted to watch some videos on abc.com the other day, and again, the site told me I did not have the latest version of Flash Player installed (but I do). I have tried multiple things with my firewall and internet options, but nothing seems to be working. Does anyone know what I can do? Is anyone else still having problems? I am also having difficulties with contacting the Flash Player people so I can ask them what's going on. Any feedback is greatly appreciated.
