This is a computer i'm working on for a friend, he keeps getting an error a usb device has exceeded the power limits of its hub port, but no usb is hooked up. this is an emachine, and the hub is intigrated on the board. after a few minutes of getting this error the computer shuts off, and its been just acting really weird. I think it may be time for a new board, but I thought i'd get some other opinions.

I have set up a net work. Then have sharing printer on the comp that has the printer. When i go to my laptop it add printer on the network printer i will see microsoft windows network + mshome + family but when i click on the family the printer dies show. I have done it before but have forgot.

i have a file with 15 individual files in it and what i am trying to do is burn these to disc but it only lets me add 1 file so how do i put all the files in to one so i can just put the 1 file in and it will add all the tracks for me

It is not very old and has been working well. Got Norton as part of package. Recently ran full scan which showed no virus etc. Now I can hardly complete an internet search without problems - particularily when I click on any link which relates to solving problem !! Looking through Answers is ok, but when I try to action moves or click on to ' anti virus ' for example , screen freezes and I have to end task. Sometimes I just have to switch off as it won't do anything else . Tried other links to help , but it seems to defend itself !? Help please and thanks

~~~OK,,,,I got my photos downloaded but it went to my C drive. I can see them there,,,now how can I get them to a place where I can just click on them while sending emails to my family without haveing to go threw 29 steps each time. Hey,,,this is exciting! When i turn on my PC my desk top has no program icons(shortcuts) whatsoever ...i have to go into Start ...then into programs and choose the program i want to use.Why aren't these program icons on the desk top.....i have no "trash can"icon,no MSN Messenger,no Firefox,nothing!!What can be done to bring these on screen?

Whenever i have a file that has a AVI file in it, explorer crashes. A Error report comes up, i click dont send, it crashes and in 2 seconds everything is back to normal. I have the latest DivX update, and SP2. I have looked at many forums and still have no clue. Anyone have a suggestion on how to fix this.
