Avoid talk talk like the plague. At least I got my money back from them. We are waiting to get sky broadband. There is a waiting list for my area.

That’s an oxymoron, cheapest, yet best performing????? Sorry, no such thing. I've just moved over to cable, so I could get cheaper HDTV, but I was with, and very happy with Zen Internet, but I was paying £35 a month for a 2Meg line, but I was downloading to my hearts content without the slightest whisper of Fair Usage Policies or download limits.

I cannot tell you who sign up with but I can say that the cheapest is not necessarily the best. Tiscali is one of the cheaper ISPs at present, but I and friends who have used them have had nothing but aggravation from them, they seem to have no firewall/anti-virus protection or spam filtering devices (I ended up with hundreds - no exaggeration - of spam mails a day with them). So the only advice I can offer is to avoid them, try going online and looking for reviews for the different ones. It is always best to go word of mouth on these things.
Good Luck!

i use tiscali unlimited broadband 1 meg connection speed, well 1.1 if you want to get technical although its not too fast but i can run msn messanger and yahoo messanger and other internet basied programs with out over exceeding the connection speed, it does take some time to download large files, but the great thing about it is, its unlimited so i can leave it all day to download and not worry about runnin up the phone bill

I've been very happy with Madasafish, I've upto 8meg speed, 5 gb download limit for about £18. Very reliable, and the helpdesk(when needed) are very helpful.

I have used NTL for five years and am so pleased with their service. When I moved, I immediately ordered their package again. Their cheapest package is for up to 2mb which is £17.99. If you can't get NTL, then try Telewest which merged with NTL recently.

BT are good too and here's their website http://www.bt.com/broadband/bb_info.jsp?s_cid=FURL-broadband
Avoid all these "free" packages, like TalkTalk and Sky BB.....you only get what you pay for.

Some of them start at $ 10/month, but you get what you pay for. I use earthlink dial up at $21.95 a month here in the USA. It works great.
