Do I have to unplug from Tower? from electricity?
Do I have to Uninstall software before Reinstalling?
Any special instructions for using with XPSP2?
Is there anything I can do, in general, to protect my programs from corruption? (I have no viruses or spyware, I checked the resolution, Video Card, drivers, did system file scan).

After i deleted a few programs on my computer which I cant remember what they were i think one of them was fire fox. anyways now I cant open up any internet shortcuts on my computers desk top.And when i go to open them i get the following message This file does not have a program associated with it for preforming this action. Create an association in the folder options control panel. help please I dont think I have any virus I scanned my computer with norton antivirus 2006 and nothing came up also this is a brand new computer and I can't afford to get it fixed! thanx

I have microsoft office with Word 2003. I previously saved a text document on a CD-RW for my class. Now I want to modify the document and save it back on the cd, and it tells me I can't because it's a read-only file. How the heck do I make sure that what ever files I save on a CD-RW, can be modified? I plan on bringing this cd to class and making a few changes there.

I am trying to develop an access database, however since I have only ever really used MySQL or Oracle with PHP front ends in the past I am getting quite frustrated! I need to know the following stuff before I start loosing my hair:

1. How do I use a macro to enable a previously disabled control?

2. How would I go about making a blank form linked to a table which can be used for searching?

3. How can I make variable criteria query? (i.e. The user comes to a form with lots of controls on it, and enters search data only in the fields they want to search using, and the query is built arround that data.)

All this would be so much easier in PHP!

Any help would be much apretiated. Also if you can't be bothered answering the question but you know of a good web resource which has the answers, I would very much apretiate that as well!

While looking on Google for the specifications of the old Commodore Amiga A500+ comptuer, I found a site that had pictures of the computer and the motherbaord, and I noticed that on every different revision of the motherboard, it has "B52/ROCK LOBSTER" printed on it.

This being a name of a really.. um.. weird... song. B52s - Rock Lobster.

This song was written about 5 years before this computer was created.

Any ideas as to why this is?
