There are 3 ways to overclock but I advice you to do it with caution or better yet a person with knowledge in how to overclock beside you co'z.
1. Overclocking via BIOS setup if you know the multipliers and frequency of the bus... And if the BIOS has the feature using multipliers.
and NOTE:
Overclocking the Chip would also speed up the life of your chip co'z of heat...
2. Motherboard jumper settings or dip switches some motherboards have those but I say again you must know the frequency and multipliers.
3. Flash Bios update - updates which can extend the frequency capacity of a motherboard and again flashing a BIOS with improper executions would resort to some hardware failures.

Just locate the jumper pins for the processor, reconfigure them and restart the machine. On the initial boot screen it will list the clock speed of the processor, you will have to be quick to catch it but it will tell you the speed.
Before you overclock be sure that the processor has the proper cooling systems, you don't want to burn it out. Check out the link for some ideas.

In the bios - its either F2 or DEL or F10 sometihng like that when the computer starts - be aware if it can't handle the speed you wont have a computer to use - OR if it cant handle the speed it just wont turn on and you will have to remove the bios battery and wait for a few minutes then turn it back on for the default settings. Also you wont notice anything in with the speed increase. my 3ghz overheats so it actually runs faster at 2700mhz... but when it wasnt overheating... i coucldnt tell any speed difference from 2.7 to 3.0ghz

the extremely owing to try this could be to get a swifter CPU and installation it. i might advise having a expert do it. optimal human beings will provide help to nicely known to "overclock" the cpu. This does now no longer something for the cost of the pc, it extremely is going to truly shorten its life. i might in easy words advise final down unused applications on an identical time as you play the sport. The rankings for many application are overstated... i.e. it extremely is going to declare you desire 1gb of ram even simply by fact the certainty is you quite need 512mb. it extremely is with the help of the fact the producer is unquestionably-known with optimal human beings run many courses straight away so they overstate it to be shelter. make sensible you besides mght close apps by skill of technique of the clock (inspite of you could desire to) thats the situation optimal historic previous courses hold close out now.

Make sure you put that thing in a freezer, or Have it holding fans out of the wazoo. Overclocking overheats your pc like crazy, quickest way to make it nonfunctional more or less than smashing it with a sledge.
