After i deleted a few programs on my computer which I cant remember what they were i think one of them was fire fox. anyways now I cant open up any internet shortcuts on my computers desk top.And when i go to open them i get the following message This file does not have a program associated with it for preforming this action. Create an association in the folder options control panel. help please I dont think I have any virus I scanned my computer with norton antivirus 2006 and nothing came up also this is a brand new computer and I can't afford to get it fixed! thanx

Shortcuts are associated with programs. When a program is deleted the shortcut no longer works. If you were using Firefox as a browser when you created an internet shortcut it will no longer work since Firefox is no longer there. Firefox is much better then IE. You should have kept it.
Delete and recreate the shortcuts.

go to your control panel, should be "restore computer to an earlier time", recall the date in big bold #'s on date of calendar it shows you, click & go to "next" and it might restore & reinstall it for you. If this doesn't work, type "foxfire installation" in your search bar & a web site w/program to install it will appear. Nothing like a computer foul up, so try and can always restore when you 1st notice it isn't working as it previously was.

Have you checked the recycle bin? They might still be there.
