My harddrive failed in my laptop a couple days ago, and I am trying decide whether I should get it replaced and fixed for $120 or just buy a new computer now. I was initially planning on buying a new gaming notebook in January anyways. Is Windows Vista worth waiting for or is there any new technology that will come out in January that I should wait on before making a decision as what to do? I have to have something before class starts next month.

i have scanned several times with AVG and it takes me directly to the file but it wont let me move it to the vault or delete it.

I am trying to make my website www.photographybyjoyelle.com through Namo Webcreator. We got the welcome page up but it looks different on everyone's screen. On some, the font looks wrong, on some 1 or 2 pics are missplaced, and on some my "recent shoots" takes you to someone elses photos. It doesn't make any sense to me. How do I make it so that it looks the same on every computer no matter how big or small the screen is? I don't know if this is even anything that can be answered on yahoo answers but it is worth a try... THANKS!

It seems to load on startup but it can 't be removed or found in the startup menu. I used a current ad removal program to try to get rid of it but no go. How do I get it off of there. I no longer have a home page.

I want to put paint and word and a lot of things back onto the stat menu because my desktop is all cluttered with icons. I have fourteen icons on my desktop right now and I want about half of them back on the start menu. I'm trying to redo the way my computer looks and I really need to get rid of the unwanted programs.
Also, when I put the icons on the start menu, can I delete them off my desktop? One time I deleted paint from my dad's old computer and I couldn't get it back. So once they are on the desktop, there's no way they can disappear for lack of use right?
I don't know if this makes sense but can anyone try to help me please?

this site claims it gets a website to be ranked in the firsst page of google ,yahoo and other engines in 1 week flat! at a cost of $90 or so per month.

they say they basicaly submit all your site text to the search engines & because of their relationships with search engines, there is no question of getting blacklisted.

Is this true and is this legitimate?

I deleted AOL from my computer at home and want to get internet access to set up a yahoo email account. The computer is not letting me get onto any ISP, including Netscape which is on the PC's list of internet options. It is an old PC and the other option it has is "CompuServe." How do I get internet access to set up Yahoo on my computer or any service that provides a free email address?
