Yes. Just don't unplug it when power is on. You might also want to go into your BIOS settings after you remove it and disable the floppy drive interface.

Yep. Just disconnect the power and data cables, and to keep things tidy, disconnect the other end of the data cable from the motherboard and set it aside somewhere. Then next time you boot, go into the BIOS and disable the floppy disk drive.

Many computers these days are built without floppy drives, in fact - things such as USB pendrives are making them rapidly obsolete.

Yes. The floppy drive is not required in a PC. In fact, most PC no longer come with a floppy drive.

Yup. Just pull the cable off the Mother board, and out of the floppy. Then pull the power cable out as well.
If you don't have a door to plug the hole where the floppy was, just leave it in there. You need to plug the hole to keep dust out.
