when i scan my computer (norton) its all clear but i have a pop up thing telling me my computer is infected with all sorts.i click on the pop up and all it is,is trying to get me to buy sum **** softwear.its driving me mad.i think its a programme looping.i want to f_it off but dont know how.please help.i am not very computer literate!!

Im having probs with my machine (S***Y thing) and have been advised to use do a system recovery with the product recovery disk. The Q I have is, will all my personal docs be wiped from the machine?? Windows and excel docs, will they die. Do I need to put stuff on a disk??

I am building a gaming PC. The graphics card I got has a video output, actually it has two. This is so I can use a television instead of a monitor right? So would it be better for gaming if I bought a large TV rather than a monitor, especially as monitors above 21" become ridiculously expensive.
Will a good TV match the resolution on modern monitors?

it has been running a little slow at times, but ever since i installed mcafee, its been like.......1998 dial up status.... it shouldnt be the problem though...

i have about 1000 songs on the comp, would that be slowing it down? i have no idea...

Pls see the following processors .....AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (Socket 754) , AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (Socket 939) or AMD Athlon 64 3000+ (Socket AM2) , Intel Pentium IV 3.06Ghz with HT emt64 ..... i want to play games like farcry , do web development using macromedia and adobe products and want to use visual studio 2005 as well as java netbeans other than burning cds, listen to music , watch movies . i don't want to use CAD CAM softwares or video editing softwares such as MAYA or 3D MAX.

I'll be using a compatible motherboard for the processor 128MB PCI express graphics card and 512MD DDR RAM module.

My anti-virus software informed me of a virus...so while running a scan...I noticed many questionable type sites appearing under the other user's Temporary Files. ( but, they whizzed by so fast! )

How can I check into the History of Pages-Visited for the Other User???
