You would try to not use it, disconnect the battery and AC adapter (if it's a wireless one), and let it dry out. After a few days, hopefully the water will be completely evaporated and your hardware won't be ruined. Running the computer or having any electricity running through it while you have water on the hardware is just asking for a short or the like. If, after you've given the water a chance to evaporate and you put all the hardware/accessories back in, it still doesn't work (the keyboard I mean) you can definitely get an external one for relatively cheap (depending on brand and how fancy you want it) that can be used through a USB port. Good luck

Was it sugar free or fat Pepsi?

If it was sugar free, then use a hairdryer or leave it open and upside down, somewhere warm to dry out.

If that doesn't work follow instructions below.

If if it was full of sugar, the best thing you can do is try to take the laptop apart and take out the keyboard, use a cotton swab and gently scrub at the contacts on the underside of each button and the board that they make contact with.

While you have it apart, it would be best if you clean up the other internal parts too.

BE CAREFUL OF YOUR STATIC CHARGE THOUGH, YOU DON'T WANT TO BLOW ANY COMPONENTS.

remove the keyboard (normally quite simple) and wipe out all of the excess pepsi with a damp cloth - you may be ablet o just run it under a tap. Then hair dry it or air-spray it. worth a try for free, failing that pick up a spare keyboard on eBay.

I've heard that the only effective way to combat the effects of Pepsi is to pour a can of Coke in the CD Drive..this will fix it in a jiffy...........probably

Any situation like that, shut it off immediately and flip it over, don't turn it on until it is completely dry and clean it with a damp tissue. If it was me, I'd take the cover off and let the whole thing dry inside.

If you have left it to dry out and it's still not working, you will need to get it cleaned professionally as the coke will have damaged internal contacts.

first of all you shouldn't have switched the device before careful cleaning.
The damage is already done, you better take it to the professionals.
