I had so much spam that they actually shut down my modem. I didn't have internet for like a week. How can I prevent this from happening again?

When I turn on my E mail I have a list of unwanted E mails and a lot of it looks like fake E mails or selling something or Free offers or Congrat., you won something. How do i get rid of these people sending this type of E mails. I have been deleteing all of them but am sick of getting them. I need help it stoping them from E mailing me.

I'm new to firefox, but i've already got the pop up and regular ad blocker, it doesnt work on the flash ads because to block an image i have to right click it, and right clicking one of the flash ads just gives me the flash menu. i just need something to selectively block the flash ads, not to block ALL flash.

This person also has outstanding warrants.And I believe he has done other crimes, Can yahoo tack down where he maybe emailing from,I believe it is a public library. I am scared of this person, Law enforcment doesnt seem to want to do anything,if they could track his loction, police could then do something.

I'm writing an article for a big chip vendor on how UMPCs might eventually be used in education. I'm curious if folks think the devices fill a niche that's not already filled by smart phones, i-Pods and laptops. Is the touchscreen a killer app? Or the opportunity for rich media? Or, is this an affordable option that will allow students to consolidate their other mobile computing and communication devices? Let me know if there are any thoughts. I'm especially interested in folks willing to be "on the record." That is, quoted in my article. Thanks. Oh, and deadline is Sept. 4, so I'd need to hear from you soon.

I want to set up a wireless internet network in my home. There are 3 laptops used by different people and I'd like if we can all use the same network, hopwever, i use my internet to pay bills, do all my banking online, and sometimes make credit card payments. Is there a very safe firewall or something that can be installed to ensure that it will be just as secure as a wired connection, even from the other people in the house?

My new HP laptop comes with NO CD's at all. The "Recovery Disk" is a partition of the hard drive. I would like to have an actual copy of the XP Home CD as well as drivers for the HP laptop. How can I get it? Also, how could I possibly rebuild my system if the entire hard drive crashed including the partition with the "Recovery" info?
