I am not sure what kind of hdd I have, how do I figure it out?

i have a mail server that runs out of my home. i use the free version of mailtraq. I also have a dynamic ip, so i have been using dynu basic. I also have all of the ports forwarded in my router (80 for webmail, 25 for smtp, and 110 for pop3). I set mailtraq to use my isp's smtp for outgoing mail so that works. What doesn't work is when i send mail to my server, it won't receive anything. It was working up until about a month ago. Help??

Alright, the family computer has been around for years, and so has this problem. Someone can be using the computer for hours, using the internet, not using the internet, playing spider solitaire, whatever and the computer will just randomly shut down. There's no saving, no warning, just gone. If the computer is turned back on immediately after one of these random shut downs the computer will boot back up and log in to Windows and everything will be just fine, but the computer will shut down again in maybe 10-15 minutes, if not less. If the computer is left over night it may stay on for several hours or it may shut down again in half an hour. The inconsistency is annoying. I have scanned the computer for viruses numerous times but have come clean. I'm thinking this is a hardware issue, but I have no idea where to start to fix it. Any help would be greatly appreciated. ok I reallly need help on this one! I just accidently installed some stupid smiley thing. Now my internet thing at the top of the window looks weird and has different stuff then before...when i IM people on aim or yahoo theres a weird little smiley face icon at the top that has drop down lists, I cant make it go away! please help

I need to change the resolution in Windows 3.0.
I cannot change it by using the setup command.
The setup command will not let me change the options that I want to change. And please, do not tell me to use the setup command!

How can I change the resolution without using the setup command? I have Windows 3.0, with a Gateway 2000 SOLO Series laptop. Also: How can I access Gateway 2000 SOLO Series BIOS? (Pressing FN+ESC only gets me the basic setup)

My laptop is compatible with Windows 3.0, (running with plenty of RAM for Windows 3.0 and plenty of HD space with a 90MHz processor)
I believe its displaying in 640x(whateveritis) and I would like to change it to 800x600 so it fills my screen.

right now the only way I can access the internet or anything on my pc is by ctrl alt delete and bring up the task manager.I have been trying to do a repair installation for windows, but I get to a certain point and it asks me for my administrator password.I set up the pc and never put in a password and there is no way for me to access my control panel to get into the admin section. I have printed off several pages from various sites with step by step instructions on how to do this but none of them even address this issue. HELPPP

Recently, my laptop got a virus, and i had to completely uninstall the operating system to get the laptop running smoothly again. Well, it is starting to run slowly again, and acting very funny; even though the operating system was removed, the old history still shows up in internet explorer. how can i completely clear the history (i think that the virus is somewhere in there), and how can i get my computer to run faster and smoother.

Make my resume into a link, where I can send it in a email and the recuriter will just need to click the link and see my resume via html.

I've saved it as a web page, but when it opens up I see that the information is comming directly from my hard drive which I'm sure won't work if I'm tryin to allow others to view it.

I'm thinking about getting a labtop, and it will be wireless ready/have wireless capability (I have no idea if they are the same thing or not).
I have NO IDEA how wireless even works. I don't know if the labtop already comes with what I'll need to connect, or if I still have to get a router or card or whatever. Do I have to have an ISP?
My mother has MSN Dial Up, and I absolutaly refuse to deal with dial up C.R.A.P.
I would very much appreciate it if someone could fill me in on exactly how wireless works. I've tried looking it up online and keep getting more confused, because the answers I get are form places the provied wireless..so I'm still ?????????????????????
