Recently, my laptop got a virus, and i had to completely uninstall the operating system to get the laptop running smoothly again. Well, it is starting to run slowly again, and acting very funny; even though the operating system was removed, the old history still shows up in internet explorer. how can i completely clear the history (i think that the virus is somewhere in there), and how can i get my computer to run faster and smoother.

Go into better detail about your problem, there could be many things that could make a computer and especially a laptop go slowly. From a memory problem in a bank to a virus and spyware. There should be specific tasks you tell us about (what were you doing when it slows down?) Does it happen from startup? Is it going slow from startup? Do you have alot of programs installed that are memory intesive?

Well to delete the history you would first go to your history and you can do a select all and then push delete. It may take a while though. Maybe its running slow because of all the programs you have if you have a lot of stuff loaded maybe remove some. Also, sometimes the internet works slow, especially if you are wireless.
