I need to change the resolution in Windows 3.0.
I cannot change it by using the setup command.
The setup command will not let me change the options that I want to change. And please, do not tell me to use the setup command!

How can I change the resolution without using the setup command? I have Windows 3.0, with a Gateway 2000 SOLO Series laptop. Also: How can I access Gateway 2000 SOLO Series BIOS? (Pressing FN+ESC only gets me the basic setup)

Thank you for your time and help.

My laptop is compatible with Windows 3.0, (running with plenty of RAM for Windows 3.0 and plenty of HD space with a 90MHz processor)
I believe its displaying in 640x(whateveritis) and I would like to change it to 800x600 so it fills my screen.

Thank you for your time and help, from TS2, the Computer Expert.
I know I have Windows 3.0, and I know its old. Please don't post "Get XP" or "Get 95" or anything like that, since Windows 3.0 is all my computer seems to be capable of running!

If that is the best your PC can do and you are happy with that, the capabilities of your video card dictates what your resolution can be. Perhaps you are at the maximum resolution your PC and video card can handle?

You recommend the dimensions? pick to cut back it down? you will might desire to apply Paint (click EDIT from image & fax viewer) and then from between the menus use the stretch/skew determination and resize the %utilising the comparable % on width and top. Then save AS a sparkling filename (to no longer corrupt the unique) and there you go. you will possibly might desire to whip out the calculator to get the right %'s for the needed very final decision.
