Xplite completely uninstalled WMP from my PC. I tried to install it again and it won't work out at all. I won't insist. What other software can I use in order to watch WMV files?

My father has cancer and will have to be in Boston Mass. for at least 6 weeks for radiation and kemo and them for surgery after that, I would like to try to find him a laptop so he can keep in touch with his friends and family. We live in Waterville Maine and my brothers and I have 9 young children, they are all close to our parents and I would like to be able to get something so he can stay in touch with them.

I am getting that error when a dvd is being encode(about half way through) it is only doing this one one particular dvd. It says windows would update.. Is there anything I have to do because this happened first a few days ago and is still happening. tried the website but no help. Anyone have a idea?

Ok. i've had very limited experience with remote desktop. I'm having problems connecting to another computer if the other computer is connected to the internet via router. Basically i cannot connect to the other computer because i don't know how to connnect to the internal IP.

How do i make sure i'm able to connect? Also. is it possible for the other computer to send an invitation so i can connect? if so, mine will be connected through a router too. And how would the invitation be sent if the other one doesn't know my ip address?

so my computer is all jacked up.
everytime it shuts off..it takes forever to get the internet working again...like days..sometimes weeks.
i have a dell.
i use limewire to upload songs onto my ipod..and i have my internet working now obviously..but i cant get limewire to connect to the internet..anyone have suggestions?
