the size settings of my screen have been changed, (and it is now larger) but when i try to change them back (so that they are smaller) it sais they are already the smallest they can be. how can i decrease them?

i am a manager of a small business recently i fired one of my employee this employee used to work one of the computres when he left he didn't tell us the adminstrative password to the computer because of that we couldn't use the computer i would like if anyone here knows how to crack the passwords i have only access to the guest account the computer is windows xp. i wolud also be happy if you forward me website where i can get help.
