it depends on who you are hiding it from. if you're just hiding it from you mom or something, then just put it in the recycle bin, and then empty the bin. be sure to clear your internet history, your download history, and your temporary internet file cache. that way there are no records left.

if you're hiding from the FBI, then thats a tad different. you'll need to find a way to physically wipe the date from your drive. formatting won't work, so don't bother. the best way is to get a large picture file and copy it over and over until your hard drive is literally full. then delete all of the picture files and defragment your drive. by making sure all of the sectors in the HDD are written over, you will entirely get rid of all data on the movie.

u should clear internet history and also it temporary files, and if u use a download manager program u should clear it's history from the option part, when u delete the file and empty the recycle bin for being sure its better clear the recent views part of the start menu, and for complete search u'r drivers for the name of the file that u downloaded and clear the files that u think belongs to it [if u doo the things above surely u wont find any other files]
goodluck

Depends who goes looking for it. There is always a trace.

For normal 'screening' delete your history and cache. Delete the movie and empty the trash.

Without the proper "shredding" software, the files will ALWAYS remain on your hard drive.
You must either buy the software from a security service, or just reformat your hard drive. But, that will remove EVERYTHING from your computer.
