How do i send a message to someone who is connected to the network using Command prompt?

If he/she is connected in your "local" network you can try:
net send COMPUTER_NAME Message
or
net send COMPUTER_IP Message
and hope he/she has no firewall with "high" protection activated or a router...

This has nothing to do with telnet. you are requesting ways to do this via the command prompt. See if you have 'qm' for quick message. I believe the command is >qm "your message". I haven't done this for awhile so hopefully, this is still the correct commands.

There are talk, write available to a UNIX machine; think of them as IMs for TTY lines.
