I want my web site visitors to enter their Zip Code and then based on the zip code entered, the website will auto-direct to a page designed specifically for that zip. How do I accomplish this? Mysql? PHP? or is there another way?

Hi guys, I have been using the anti-virus software Prevx1 for a couple of days now. It seems to be a very effective programme, but I need independent advice on it. My worry is if it is a malware, its potential to harm is boundless as it scans all programmes executing on my computer and it even knows that I posted this question to Yahoo! Answers.

I have the Windows XP Home Edition Upgrade CD. My computer is currently Windows 2000. The CD is for use only with Windows 98 or ME. Is there any way to upgrade my computer from Windows 2000 to Windows XP Home Edition? If so, please state the least expensive way. Or is there an Upgrade CD for my Windows XP home Edition Upgrade CD that will allow me to have the full-version of XP (instead of the Upgrade Version) without buying the entire CD?

I want to have wireless internet connection on my laptop in my apartment, but I do not want to have a base PC. I have a final test tomorrow for my class in school and the teacher is asking me: What does Ethernet do and how does it work? How would I go about writing what it does? i had two plans for my website, please tell me which one you think is better or let me know if you have any alternative plans? so far im going with plan one.

1) a website with lots of backgrounds, website layouts, and myspace layouts. backgrounds are 10 cents each, myspace layouts are a dollar, and website layouts are 5 dollars.

2) all backgrounds and myspace layouts are free in order to bring more people to my website. website layouts are the only thing that costs anyhing.

I consider myself comfortable with Excel, however there is something that i am unsure of how to do and would appreciate your help in finding a solution.

I created a spreadsheet, basically a self evaluation. in my table, i would like one of the columns to contain a drop-down box in each cell, where three options present themselves (ie X, Y Z)

When i selection X the cell turns blue
When i selection Y the cell turns red
When i selection Z the cell turns yellow

I'm then looking to count the number of options selected

eg

x = 2
y = 4
z = 4

as opposed to having three seperate colums in my table, at the moment my three columns = x y z

to count the option i simply put a 1 where appicable, and then count the sum. the solution is the same result, but for data entry purposes its not as clear as could be.

I'm thinking this is involoves some VB,

if you can point me in the right direction, that would be excellent.

What does one of those small boxes with a red triangle, blue square etc in the corner of a web page actually mean. My daughter has been playing an online game with no difficulties using XP, now we are using 2000 she cannot play it properly - this little box keeps appearing. Thanks.
