What does one of those small boxes with a red triangle, blue square etc in the corner of a web page actually mean. My daughter has been playing an online game with no difficulties using XP, now we are using 2000 she cannot play it properly - this little box keeps appearing. Thanks.

It can mean a number of things depending on the requirements of the website.

> You need Adobe Flash or Shockwave installed and enabled browser
> You need Java installed and enabled on your web browser
> If they are already installed, you'll need to change the security settings on your web browser. Let me know if you have already downloaded them and yet cannot play the game and I'll take you through changing the security settings in your web browser. It would help if you can note which web browser you are using e.g. Internet Explorer, etc

You can download them from
Adobe Flash/ShockWave - http://www.adobe.com/shockwave/download/index.cgi?P1_Prod_Version=ShockwaveFlash

Sun JAVA - http://www.java.com/en/download/windows_xpi.jsp

It means that an image is unable to load for some reason. Check the settings for graphics in Internet Explorer, Tools, Internet Options, Advanced. Or it may mean that the Security settings are too high. It could also be that the speed of the connection is different and the graphics are taking too long to load.

Dear fellow member,

Sounds like a game compatibility problem with your Windows version. If it runs on XP fine, stick with it. Chances are 2000 won't work since you get that problem. It sounds like video graphics isn't working properly.

Kind Regards,
Ben
