NN is another issue in which we deal with the contrast and conflict between social liberties and economic freedoms. Both sides make sense in how my rights end where yours begin, but is that really the right approach for the question?

After all, companies provide services that are used by consumers and should be able to regulate the net's usage by price as they feel fit. Nobody's perfect though and shouldn't the net be a public asset available freely to everyone; not to be regulated by any governing body or financial institution?

Then there's the idea that people shouldn't complain and instead, collaborate and unify in providing their own services. But that would potentially mean creating our own networks and not utilizing the internet itself (or would it? Couldn't existing companies and institutions sue over patent or copyright infringement for the IDEA of the internet?)

Allow me to introduce myself. I’m an idealistic, naïve, 11’Th grader.

Still a kid, I know, but I’m starting to consider different subjects and possible careers that I’m interested in. I’m planning on taking additional courses on my own (possibly online) in those fields while I’m still in high school.

I like US History, Writing, Economics, Philosophy, Theology, and Computer Science. I don’t particularly enjoy mathematics, however.

Almost all the computer programmers I know love math and have either majored or minored in it in college.

Would it be possible for me to pursue a career in Computer Science and only take required math courses in college?

Is that feasible? Or is it the stupidest thing you ever heard? :)

Helpful answers and constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated.

I bought...

1. FORD - ran good for 8 months then blew its headgasket. paid only $500 for it.

2. DODGE - ran good for 3 months then blew its headgasket. paid $4000 for it so not happy.

3. home made beef jerky - pretty good.

4. Game system - paid $700 for a game system (forgot what the name was) it was only available in japan and when i got it, it had been played. the seller claimed since it came from japan they had to test it to make sure it worked. yeah whatever you lying wh0re!

The computer is an awesome thing and I like to interact with it. You can play games, talk to friends,see your credit score,you can look up anything imaginable on here.The TV is almost absolete. Even while watching TV,commericials will tell you to go to their website cause everyone knows we like the computer.Soooo much you can do on here that you cant do sitting in front of the TV screen...It's call 'interacting' with the world around you. And you can learn about anything. TV, you have to wait for a show, you can look it up on the pc and read about it and learn about it, instead of just watching it...learn about what you're watching. He doesnt understand. He doesnt know anything about pc's but how to type in a word or phase into the search bar and click "Go'. Should he be hard on me? I spend a few hours on here while he's out there in his shop, it gives me something to do.I'll pick a 'best answer'.

A few days ago my computer started acting funny. It took longer than usual for pages to load, some pages didnt look right..they had errors (no background, no images), pop-ups were everywhere, i cant log into my hotmail account ( i can sign in, but then from there it stops and i'm left with a blank page), i cant even watch some videos on youtube.com. I've tried scanning for adware/viruses (deleted anything detected), I even removed a few programs i dont use from my computer, I have my firewall on..but NOTHING HAS HELPED. Can someone with computer skills, please tell me what i should do about all this? what could the problem be? Can I fix it on my own or would i have to take it to someone to check out?
