You would be better off uninstalling Word completely, then deleting it from your Program Files section, then reinstalling it from CD. If this is a part of Microsoft Office, then remove it completely and reinstall it. If this is a part of Microsoft Works Suite, uninstall that completely and reinstall it.

Check your ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS section of the control panel.

Try going to the Microsoft website link below.

They have add-ons for Word 2000 and other enhancements as well. Try using the Prosuct Update utility as well.

No need, if you are using the Yahoo toolbar. It comes with a "Reference" button. When you click on it you get a choice of a dictionary, encyclopedia, Thesaurus, fact book ...

Just type in your word.
