i have downloaded the php 5.0 package from its site but i do not know how to install or configure it ! plz help me with enough description, thanks alot.

Here is the website for a standard set of programs (a webserver, PHP, perl, mysql, and others to control it). All you should have to do is install it and it should be ready to go.
