How can I connect my two laptops to DSL internet without using a desktop?

If it doesn't have a network connection, you can buy a USB to ethernet connector.

Two ways. Wired: put a PCMCIA card (Ethernet adaptor) card in each laptop, and connect via Ethernet cables to a wired router. Wireless: put a wireless card in each laptop, and get a wireless router. If you go wireless, be sure to configure the router to only accept traffic from the MAC addresses of the wireless cards. [The MAC address is a 48-bit code, expressed as twelve hexadecimal digits, which is unique to every Ethernet-capable device, and can usually be found on the package or on a sticker on the device.]

We have our DSL hooked into our router. The router is a wireless router with an external antenna. All we have to do after that is turn on our laptops and it finds the signal from the router allowing us to connect.

You need is a ROuther. to install a routher you do this....FIRST YOU NEED IS A ROUTHER AND A MODEN AND A WIFI CONNECTION IN A LAPTOP. First connect your modens ethernet wire in the WAN in the back of the routher. Then have the other moden wires at the same place. What i mean by that is that the cable wire in the port that is connected to a phone jack of with 2 phone ports 1 for phone line other for cable then both of then on you have a wireless connecting. THE BEST ROUTHER TO GET IS LINKSYS WITH HIGH DATA NUMBER OF DATA IT CAN TRANSFER TO A WIFI.

you can use a wireless connection by using a router. that allows you to use 2 laptops at the same time. =)
