Hi,

I currently have a rover 216si - its MOT is due very soon as well as its tax, i've had it looked at before and it needs its ECU tuning and to add to that total a very nice person kicked off my wing mirror the other night, which on a rover can be quite costly and also is an MOT fail as far as i know.

So i'm thinking of cutting my losses and getting myself a ford focus, however - I am 17 at the moment, 18 next month - would it be possible to get a good deal? I am a web developer under contract for a few years, earning quite a good salary, is it possible to make a special deal to help with claiming finance?

Any help would be greatly appreciated :)

Thanks

Does anyone know where I can hire cars for a decent price? Like a Pay As You Go car rental service. I need to rent a car from time to time to do my fortnightly shop as my car has broke down. I don't need it for holidays or the like. Please Help!!!

Does it make a difference to the speed / acceleration if more passengers are on board or if Air Condition of the car is switched on etc.

In Infiniti QX4 Automatic, 7 seater, will the acceleration be more if only 2 passengers are on board rather than 7 passengers ?

Thanks for your replies.

The actual horns from a bull. Are there kits available? Are there places that install them professionally?

The car i'm gonna get is FWD. With rear drum brakes and front disc brakes. It is 172 HP 4 speed with over drive, and 4 cylinder. It's the 2008 Dodge avenger. Is that bad? I'm thinking of getting it. Hopefully for 17,500-18,000.

I've had my license for a year now and my own car for about a month, and I'm still nervous when I hit the freeway. Public streets or slow streets are very comfortable for me. I love driving around the neighborhood. Barely any cars. But freeways, there's just something about them.

The top thing: I hate merging. You could say I can just go to the left lane, but I don't drive that fast. I usually stick to the right lane where people merge in from on-ramps.

Also, I hate doing is changing lanes. It makes me very nervous because you don't know if the car on the lane you want to switch to is going to let you or not, and you don't want to block traffic behind you.

Maybe I'm just too concerned about what people will think of my horrible driving?

Also, I don't like driving with my parents. They get mad at all my mistakes. I just tell them you're looking from a different perspective as the passenger, not the driver. So, while it may look fast to them, it's not really fast to me.

Thanks!

Could somebody please help me with driving? I have never been behind the wheel before, and all I really know about driving is the things in my Kansas Driving Handbook.

I have my Drivers Ed tomorrow, and I am very nervous. I also have no idea how to know where I am going.

I have a 2002 Ford conversion with an aftermarket flat screen. A large heavy box was also installed to run the television off of a generator for tailgaiting. Will this box also allow me to run the vehicles A/C overnight , or will I be draining the battery? If so, will the air still not be nearly as cold as when you are driving. Any help greatly appreciated!

By worst I mean worst design and/or dynamics. I do NOT mean poor reliability and headaches.

91-95 Acura Legend. Virtually nothing was properly executed on this car. Worst steering, brakes, tranny, seats, stereo, you name it.

I am having an argument with my friend. I am almost 100% positive that I heard somewhere once that part of the reason that schools and everything need to shut down for a simple "dusting of snow" in the south has to do with the composition of the roads. Can someone explain this to me better so I can win the arguement? Does anyone know what I am talking about. I am fairly sure that roads built in the north have special additives that make them more resistant to icing over, better grip, etc, and in essence are safer to drive in the snow then others.

I am almost 50, work fulltime but have no extra cash after the bills a paid. Although, I am trying all the time to generate more cash. I don't have enough to get a car. Now, the car that I bought my mother (73 years old) brand new 10 years ago, just died and I am in no position to help her either. We live in Detroit and we both need just simple cars before winter. We have always had cars and used them to help so many others in need, like youth and senior citizens. Any serious, but creative ideas out there?
