Check with your local police or the local installers/customizers. They will know. While is varies from state to state, the standard rule is that only white and amber lights can be visible from the front and white, amber or red from the rear. This means that if the light source is visible (ie: the bulb itself) it must be one of these colors. If the source is hidden and the visible light is actually a reflection off the ground than it can be any color.

Like Khylie R. Said above, Unfortanately they're illegal. Get them installed with an on and off Switch. They're Legal in some states if your car is paked but the second the car's in motion you will get a fine if you have them on. Colors not to get if you really wanna avoid police... Red and Blue... Avoid those Colors. I had gotten a $375.00 fine for having them on my 03 Chevy Cavalier.

Fit a set and drive round Taunton of a Saturday night with them switched on, and our wonderful police will most certainly offer helpful advice and a notice of intended prosecution.

You didn't say what state you are in but if vehicle inspections are required, they could tell you. Or, stop a cop and ask.
