Hi Nomad, take no notice of London Lady saying some one earns a grand a week, even with 'London Weighting' £450 is more like it.(artics). As you live in 'south yorks / nottinghamshire catchment area' you should be able to earn around £320 p.w once you pass your C licence. (Check on Yell.com or 192.com for your nearest training school)Trouble is, employers will see you as having zero experience, so will be unwilling to take you on - no experience, no job -- no job, no experience! Your only openings could be on driving agencies who could place you with some one who is willing to train you up to their standards, as long as you stay with them for set period. Its a lot of money up front to get on the road,£1000 +, and the rewards can be good with long hours, but if you really want to go ahead , good luck & keep the shiney side up.

Go to your local bus depot and tell them you want to be a bus driver. After you passed the test, you can drive large vehicles. Drive buses for a few years and then go on to HGV lorries.

HGV lessons are around 2k, plus your test (or tests) and once you get a licence the only peeps who'll employ you are agencies... your young and have NO real experience. after 2yrs, all that changes... you have the experience, but realise you dont want to do this for the rest of your life...
