If I usually put in regular unleaded in my car, is it BAD if I put premium into sometimes? *Don't ask why.....long story* But my friend said it is horrible for your car. Everyone else I have talked to said it was fine, that if anything, it is better.

I heard this today and was wondering if ANYONE actually heard of this.
I was told because of the rising gas price is because that the gas company's put special additives in because of emissions during the hot months. HUH???
What about the goverment giving us a tax break, and not charge tax, so that everyone pays the same amout for gas.
Every state has a different tax %, and to help with the rising cost, wouldn't it be nice if they took the tax away till the price came down?

Aside from not driving, are there any other REAL options available to us, as consumers to prevent the big companies from continuing to raise the price while putting more money in their pockets?

I ended up hitting the front side of my car against the sidewalk today, and right after this happened, my car started acting funny.

It wasn't a huge collision and my car is new, but the steering wheel is not aligned straight anymore...
It is always straight when the car goes straight, obviously...but now it slightly tilts to the right when the car goes straight. If I try to straighten the wheel by turning it to the left a little, the car goes to the left.
This is difficult to explain, but if you have questions please ask.

I am going to take my car to a mechanic later today but until then I just want to know if there is any way to tell what is wrong with it, if it could be major damage, ect... or any comments/advice/suggestions/ideas.

I'm thinking that the alignment is screwed up, but I know little about cars.

THANK YOU so much if you have read this and have any advice/comments/whatever. I'd reallyyyy appreciate it.

Surely with a 20mph headwind @60mph the 10mph greater aerodynamic drag will outweigh the extra revs friction @70mph.
Would the fuel consumption be related to the road speed + relative wind speed?
So driving at 50mph with a 50mph headwind would give only slightly better consumption than driving at 100mph on a calm day?

I wouldn't be able to use ethanol since my town doesn't have a gas station w/ one. If there is a site u know of that answers my question please let me know, cuz my own search on the matter has come up with nothing so far. And trading my car for a "green" one isn't an option. 1) can't afford it. 2) For some reason, the only vehicles I like, are Ford Mustangs. Thanks peeps.
