it seems which you're no longer open to solutions that undertaking your preconceived notions. you're perfect that a low-value smaller vehicle is a good decision and can, counting on your subject, be a greater advantageous decision on your wallet, even interior the long-term. Toyota usually has very intense reliability rankings (different than the Tundra), so the Corolla may well be a good decision, regardless of the reality that this is smaller than the Prius with fewer helpful factors and not a good assessment. regardless of the shown fact that, nickel utilized in batteries is extremely minor - lots, lots greater nickel is used daily for chrome and stainless-steel. If it became this type of concern, we'd have more advantageous standards for removing stainless-steel and chrome bumpers till now. Open-pit mining has been executed for some years for the steel that is going into each and each vehicle, that far outweighs the mining costs for the small volume of nickel used. (NiMH batteries are lots safer in use and disposal than LEAD-ACID batteries - think of roughly it!) the extra power costs are factored into the value of the motor vehicle (they must be, or the producer might lose funds). you're making that up in a pair years of driving and after which you're funds forward. upload interior the intense resale value and that's a extremely clever decision. i'm getting 40 9 mpg in my Prius and that i don't have an optimal holiday. this is not genuine that they simply have a income if pushed in give up-and-bypass, easily their perfect mileage could be acquired employing pulse-and-waft technique between 30 and 40 mph, the place some human beings recover from 100mpg on a inventory Prius, and that i are starting to be 75mpg for some journeys, i've got additionally gotten fifty 5 mpg going 60-70 mph on the interstate as a results of expensive greater advantageous-sized engine for cruising and the aerodynamics. The battery is very like the computerized transmission in terms of value and frequency of fix. maximum autos will bypass their finished existence on the unique battery %..

i read an email today with a great idea.
if everyone would nationally boycott the big dogs, like exxon and mobil, then they would be forced to drop their prices to bring back business.
then, their competitors would be forced to drop their prices to compete and we might get reasonable gas prices again.

that would be great, but i don't see it happening.
it would take a national boycott and that would be hard to get the word out.

however, this would not work anyway, b/c the oil companies would find another way to sell their product.

resistance is futile.
the only thing to do is try to conserve on your own.
make one trip to the store per week instead of daily or everyother day.
make a day of running errands and don't skip around. make a plan and follow it logically.
trade in a gas guzzler for something economical.

Don't buy it. Help people find other ways of getting around. Look int hydro or ethenol cars. Ride a bike. Take public transportation. Americans depend on it so much like electronics. What would everyone do if they couldn't have their toys.......? they would find another way. Maybe go back to REAL horse power....lol.

Increase your fuel effectiveness. Keep tire pressure right, tune the car up, batch trips together and phone ahead to check that items are where you are going so you aren't driving all over town for one item. Shop for some items on the net; mail is cheaper than going after them
