Ture, there aren't that many Japanese turbo cars in the U.S. Most Americans like the V8 cars because of the torque and hp they put out. Americans are in love with the muscle cars...that is where the term originated from. I personally prefer the smaller turbo-charged engines because they're fuel-efficient and much lighter than the big block engines. I've been to Japan and the Skyline GTRs are beautiful cars...I'm sure if they were offered here in the U.S. they would be a huge hit. There was some hype years ago that Nissan was going to make a limited edition here...but that never panned out.
The only turbo-charged Japanese imports that I can think of in the U.S. are...
Subaru Imprezas & Mitsubishi Lancer Evolutions

In WW2 The Canadian Paratroopers were some of the most feared in the world. A superior "edukational" system? I'm from the US - It is EDUCATIONAL! Idiot. International respect huh? Something you obviously don't have. But okay, if you call starting a war the world is against "international respect" I have no idea what is wrong with you. If Canada is socialist, England is too, same form of government. You don't wait years to see a doctor.. "Canada is like one giant massachusetts- they tolerate gays marrying and let people smoke reefer. If they beleived in freedom they would BAN those things." 1 - What's wrong with gays? Bigot 2 - Smoking marijuana has been proven benificial to fight certain cancers 3 - Americans smoke pot too 4 - Banning stuff = Freedom? I can't imagine how you can connect those things in your twisted little mind "Canadians drive American cars and use American products, which is proof they want to be like the USA" Americans use Chinese/Japanese products - Does that mean we all want to be like the Chinese and Japanese? Again - Canada is not a socialist country. You have never been to Canada yet you pretend to know everything about it...Typical They have freedom..Probably more than US citizens, Vietnam and the Iraq wars we're/are WRONG - I dont support draft dodging. But I can't say I blame them. Not wanting to die for greed? Not all of Canada has an arctic climate, learn some geography. Canada's military was at one time a moderatly feared one, It's just not the biggest one in the world. Canada has more international respect then the USA. Whats wrong with MONTREAL (not Motreal) strippers? Again, not Socialist.

Imports have been popular with the U.S. since around the 90's also but insurance on a turbo powered car is extreamly expencive. The Skylines are no longer sold to in the U.S. because of saftey concerns. P.S. if it aint got 8 cylinders its only half powered and it aint a 8 ya' aint got s**t were I come from a 4 or a 6 cylinder cant hang with me in my v8 round my parts.

youger people love the jap craze....but key word is younger....i grew up at the tracks so i know the only thing that comes in 2 litres is pop
besides most of the smarter people are goin to turbos instead of superchargers because of the belt(no horsepower drop)
in america there is no replacment like displacment....but good enginering doesnt hurt....my uncle is about to do a twin turbo set up on his corvettte
