Well recently got into a accident and rear ended a parked car.... basically I was driving my cell phone was ringing i looked down and the allignment on my car is really jacked up so it really pulled right and I couldn't break in time to aviod it. Now there was passangers in the car under 21 and they are not allowed by law to be there. So Now i have to go to court and thats where my question comes from..

What do you think the judge will do to me?

the officer said he'd either let me go, suspened my license, or revoke it.

Any advice? Should I write the judge a letter of apology?

If you drive a car in America, please don't buy gas on May 15th...We want to "boycott" the price of gas on this day and if EVERYONE stood together on this one, the price of gas could shoot down by 20 cents the following day! 20 cents is a lot when you're paying 50 bucks to fill up an economy car!.... JOIN ME PLEASE...fill up the day before or something if you have to drive that day!!!!! I will be buying an alternative fuel automobile on my next car purchase! This is crazy!!!

In Saudi Arabia gasoline costs about 45 cents a gallon. In Iran it's 33. Venezuelans pay under a quarter. I still think a day to not buy gas would make a very strong statement and with the millions of barrel's of oil that has to move everyday you stop that movement they will notice there is no place to store almost a billion barrel's of oil that's what we use per day, what a waste isn't it

Just giving everyone a place to vent and share gas saving advice. Lord knows we are going to need it when summer and travel season hits. Prediciting $4 a gallon in the next few months.

99% of people who 'know' the answer to this question will happily state that the Monumental Axis in Brazil is capable of accomodating 160 cars side by side. This is simply absurd, and in any case it consists of more than one road.

We just found out (bombshell!) we are expecting no. 3. Other kids will be 20 months and 3 1/2. We are faced with a problem of how to transport them all. I have an Astra and have found out that airbag can't be disabled. Cars like Zafira don't seem practical because I have to climb over all the luggage and go in through the boot to get to the back seat if I have fixed car seats on seats 3 and 4. I don't know what to do. How does everyone else manage. Anybody out there with this problem. How did you solve it?

My parents got me a driving instructor back in January. At first, i thought it was pretty good. Then for the last 2 months, he's been bailing out on my lessons even though my parents paid $500 for it. It makes me so angry, especially since my parents aren't doing anything and they're too whimpy to even teach me how to drive let alone sit in the car with me. The instructor keeps telling my parents that I'll pass for sure during my first driving test. Being mad, and feeling totally unprepared for a driving test, I don't know if I should purposely mess up just so my parents would get the message and start doing what they need to do, go drive with me. Also, I suspect there's something weird going on since I found out that he takes all his students to a DMV that's about a 2 hour drive from where I live. Why would someone do that when they could take the test at a DMV 5 blocks from my house? I'm totally lost and don't know what to do.

Soon we will have three children ALL of whom require a full sized car seat (3, 1.5 and newborn)

Ideally we would buy a hybrid, but the only hybrids on the market that can accomodate three carseats are the hybrid SUVs...which only get 30 mpg!!

We are hoping for something with 35+ mpg with a back seat that can accomodate 3 19" wide convertable carseats :)

Any tips??

I was in the process of getting the title for my car so i could junk it. The problem is that it was towed today and now sits in an impound collecting a $50 a day charge. The state (ca) cannot get me a real title for 60 days so i cannot sign over the title to the tow company. So the car is going to sit there for 30 days then they (tow company) will sell it at auction. Whats going to happen to me as far as fees? Will the tow company come after me? Should i pay the current fines and have them tow it back to my house until i get the title?

OK, to let you know exactly what I am looking for, is a convertible car (two or four seater, doesn't matter) that I would be able to find to buy for cheap, is easy to work on, has inexpensive parts that are widely available, and that gets 30+ mpg. Foreign or domestic doesnt' matter. What car fits that bill?

Hi Anyone/Everyone,
I am contemplating starting a classic/retro car hire business, and just wanted to gauge some public opinion on a few issues.

1. What would be your top 5 cars that you would like to drive/hire from the 70’s and 80’s
2. Do you think there is a market for cars from the 80’s, or should I stick to the classics.
3. Do you know anyone who I could talk to regarding such a business?

I am aiming the business at the 30/40 somethings, and am based in Leeds,West Yorkshire.

Any feedback would be great, good or bad!

Thanks for your time.

Paul

I hit a curb last night and blew a hole in my tire. The tire is done for. The rim I think is bent, because the hub cap was all warped and hard to get the "fake" lug nuts off the top. It's a standard 2007 Ford Focus tire/rim. About how much do you think it will cost me to repair it?? I'm a girl so I don't want to get screwed, and I am just curious how much this is going to set me back...
