Has anyone seen any REAL difference on their cars (like water beading up) after driving through one of these wax washes? I always just use the basic wash because I'm quite skeptical that anything sprayed on and rinsed off could possibly stick to the car at all.

I have a 97 Ford Taurus......i drive it far beyond what i should.....becuase its not sports car and its not meant to be pushed.....now i now alot of guys use 20w-50 in their mustangs, other type sports cars they drive hard etc......during the summer in canada....what should i be using for oil grade.....as i say i beat the car and drive it faster than it was really meant to be purpose wise....so would 20w-50 be better for it.????

I live on a street that has a lot of small children living on it. I am also expecting my first soon... We live on a road that basically connects two exits on 1-95, and is used as a cut through by just about everyone. The town we live in refuses to install speed bumps or speed gates on the road. The posted speed limit is 25 mph, but I am guessing the average is around 40.

I would like to find a radar system that i can hook up to a laptop and record the average speed of the cars so I could present the data to the town to hopefully change the road for the better... Any thoughts on how to do this? or if it is even legal?

Is this technology safe? Is vaporizing fuel before it is placed in the intake dangerous, as it could explode? Has anyone used this type of technology. Does it work? Tell me what you know about it.... Follow the link and watch the 3 videos..

They said they haven't "processed our application" yet, but that they need 1.5k down (on a 13k Hyundai Accent). I told them in the beginning I could do 1k, the owner said "go ahead and pick out a car and drive it home". Today he said "I thought you said 2k.. we can only do it at 1.5k".

Is he benefiting from this? Or does it have nothing to do w/them and they just want to get me financed?

I'm perplexed.
Why is it the auto manufacturers recommend changing engine oil, and transmission fluid every X,XXX miles.

Occasionaly I'll come across a question on YA about someone with a problem and they say "I just had my oil changed and now my car......."

I drive a 91 Chevy truck with over 211,000 miles on it and have NEVER changed transmission fluid, rarely change engine oil, and have never had ANY problems.

But as soon as someone has their engine oil or transmission fluid changed their car develops a problem.

What gives?? Do you REALY need to change fluid as much as the big auto companys say?

I figure, "If it aint' broke, don't fix it".

In just a few years, Unleaded Gasoline will either be $7 per gal or non-existant. Bio-diesel is beginning to become more and more available. It will be THE replacement fuel, especially since it does not need any new research and development. It is even now ready to become a mainstream fuel, needing only time to build up reserves. So why is the motorcycle world not getting on board?

Is it an old wives tale that if you are low on gas you should turn off the AC in your car b/c it burns gas? I don't see how the AC would use up gas. Can anyone explain it?
