Why is it that when you park your car in an empty car park, that another driver will drive in and park right up alongside your vehicle. More tend to follow until your'e often surrounded. Is this a UK trend, or does this 'herding' phenomenon occur throughout the world?!

I am not sure if the 360 was a marine motor all its life so i need to check and seeif it will work in my Dart or if I have to convert a bunch of stuff to make it a non-marine motor. Can I tell just by looking at the outside? There is no intake manifold or carb so i will be able to see mostly anything.

I know blue lights denote emergency vehicles and it can be an offence to have them on your car/van- also that you are obliged to pull over for them.

However I see a lot of vehicles (car recovery trucks, water board Land Rovers, even builders' vans) with orange lights- what' the dea lwith these...can anyone have them as they just act as a warning of long vehicle/ heavy load etc etc?

Thanks!

As far as I can see pick ups tend to have more of an 'off road' capability (for mud or farm tracks that I might encounter) and the advantage that anything too big to fit in the load bed can simply be propped up over the cab roof.

A van would be better for keeping any mechanical gear or valuable stuff secure and dry.

What do you think? Thanks!

Were all of you aware that this generation of dodge engines with the Hemi nameplace do not have the actual hemispherical cylinder heads that the name comes from?

Back in the days of big ol' muscle cars (60's and 70's), these HEMI engines actually had hemispherical heads which was very effective in improving combustion quality.

All of the HEMI engines nowadays are nearly beefed up non-hemispherical head engines that just happen to have HEMI written on the side of them. this time around, HEMI is just simply a name.

It's not that dodge is trying to decieve us, they're just playing with name recognition, and hoping no one investigates further.

This morning on the way to work I drove over some black tubing spread in a straight line across the lane. The end was connected to a box on the side of the road. What exactly is this device measuring. My only guesses are speed or volume of vehicles.

My partner recently had an accident in a 2005 Toyota corolla (not at fault) and I want to know the likelihood of it being determined a 'total loss'. The insurance company has stated that it will be about 10k damage or more, the suspension was snapped and the wheel positioned at 45 degrees, the car nearly rolled and the motor has dropped on one side, transmission seems shot and lhside front quarterpanel looks like foil. Will it be a total loss ? do the Ins co take a recommendation from the repairer? can this be disputed? help would be appreciated.
