For a well-maintained car? Definitely snow. Especially on the East Coast, the city/county road authorities tend to use rock salt to provide traction on surface streets. If the salt isn't washed off the undercarriage of a car right away, it will cause the metal to corrode--and rot--within a very short period of time.
The fact that road accidents increase exponentially with snowfall doesn't really help, either.
That the West Coast isn't in the habit of using rock salt in the winter is the reason West Coast collector cars are considered to be preferable to East Coast ones--while the gravel they use over here might be bad for a car's paint, at least it won't permanently damage anything.
Any well-maintained car should be able to handle a reasonable amount of cold--even down to 20 or 30 below--and still function normally. The only thing that needs protecting in extreme cold environments is the car's battery.

Cold weather is not bad for a car. If you have good antifreeze (so the coolant in your engine and radiator doesn't freeze up) and a fresh battery with lots of cold cranking amps ( power to turn over a very cold engine fast enough to get it to fire up) you should be in good shape. You also want to add some dry gas (gas line anti-freeze) so that water that condensed in your tank or fuel lines doesn't freeze and block the flow of fuel to the motor. Snow is worse for your car than cold. Snow builds up on wipers and around wheels. It freezes and causes damage to plastic fender liners and ground effects and spoilers. It makes for slippery driving conditions and causes accidents. Snow is definitely worse than cold.

The chilly temps won't harm the DS, yet once you do get it back, permit it "Thaw" at room temperature in the previous doing something with it. I had a chum who saved a pc in a chilly storage, and he or she concept it would be ok basically to plug each thing in mutually because it grew to become right into a million/2 frozen....POOF! permit it thaw, and it would be high-quality!
