I'd like to get rid of my Expedition for something smaller and easier to park and more environmentally friendly. I need the third row of seats since I am always transporting extra kids. Mini vans look so nerdy- is it just me who thinks this or are they in fact geek mobiles? Is there something else I should consider?

...after about 50MPH, it is not as spectacular. Right off the line, the car feels like a 5.8 second 0 - 60 car, but on the highway, it feels more like a 7 second 0 - 60 car. Any idea why this might be?

I'm looking at SUVs for myself - I have two dogs and I'm looking at new cars so that I can have it for a while as well as the money being well spent. My dogs aren't huge - they both are around 40 lbs. I was looking at vehicles with back space so they can have the back to themselves while people would be able to sit in the seats. I've been thinking about Ford Escape or Subaru Outback - does anyone else have any opinions? Experiences? Advice? Thanks in advance.

I'm just wondering if it saves gas and does not hurt your transmission by shifting into neutral at stoplights (I have an automatic).

although it has the same interior as a standard neon, its really sporty, fast, gas efficient, and cheap. But i dont know if its a reliable car since the american cars arnt these days. Will it always be in the shop? Can u tell me if its a good buy? if not, is there something better out there thats similar in performance and gas efficiency?
