THis happened to us at work some months ago where two people had been driving the vehicle in the same day within an hour or so of each other. After reciveing the letter my "boss" wrote a rather convincing letter to the local police headquaters basically kissing their arses and saying he could not verify who was driving the vehicle at the time. (amazing how someone loaded with money will try and get out of paying something) As it turned out they were very understanding and notified us that the vehicle was now marked for future offences and that we should from now on keep a record of times and signatories when the vehicle is being driven. As for the offence in question, get your heads together and find out where the offence was, which job you or you colleague were driving too and which direction you were travelling in when you were flashed. Then you may be able to start pointing the finger OR taking the rap

Bosses problem, he should have kept a log of who drives what vehicle and at what times
If you are 100% sure it was not you then say so and ask for photographic evidence. If this is inconclusive then it is the company that has to provide evidence of the driver and if it was not you all you have to do is say so. If your name is put forward when you get the fine simply return it with you statement that you was not driving it at that time and prove it if you can with any other evidence that you can
Your boss will end up being responsible if he is unable to provide the driver details with some certainty
Good luck but if it was you then cough up

Get the other 2 together and offer to split the fine 3 ways.
Tell your boss that no one knows who was driving the van at that time and that you will share the responsibility.
Or you could all deny it and he'll get rid of the 3 of you (or dock your pay).

There should be a time/date stamp on the picture. Work out who was doing what on that time and date and you will know for sure. Or split the fine 3 ways. Or dig your heels in and deny it and made the boss mad. Are you the only one he told? If so, looks like he's pretty sure who it was.

If the vehicle got the ticket you guys could split it But you are talking about a moving violation so one of you guys is going to get the ticket and the points that go with it .
So whose face is on the picture ?
My best guess is that your boss already knows who the driver is and is checking you guys for integrity.

It becomes the van owners problem. The owner has to say who was driving it. You boss can also be prosecuted for not knowing who was driving.

If you can't remember who was driving then none of you should admit to driving as this is an offence in its self, but the registered keeper is the one who gets the ticket and points, so remember that if you lend your car out.

your boss cannot prove you was driving so he will go for the one who he thinks he can intimidate don't let him bully any of you cause don't forget as well as a big fine it's 3 points on your licence
