my car was impounded, it was sitting in the middle of the street unattended with a broken front axel. my son had wandered down the street to call me. I told him to stay at the no. he called me from and i would call a tow truck and call him back with instructions. when he returned to the car 15 min later it was gone. there is a big dent in my hood and the front nose piece is cracked.the officer called me the next day and said it had been siiting in the middle of the street for fourty min. A maximum of 20 min had elapsed.

I'm considering buying a sub-£25000 Audi S4... I really want a Nissan Skyline GTR34, but my wife and my job make it impractical. Used to have a '97 Porsche 911, but now I need something more sensible and everyday, with similar power.

It has to be a 4 seat car for commuting in to town... Lots of power, but a car that has a sensible image for first impressions. Was considering a BMW 6 series, but at the end of the day, I will need to be let out of junctions in London...

Any suggestions?

I understand that improperly inflated tires effects mileage. I recently had a flat, and got a brand new tire on my front left wheel. My car always guided slightly to the right, alignment or whatever, but not very noticeable. Now after the tire change my car pulls alot more to the right, and it is a tad annoying. I noticed my gas mileage today, its a little past the first 8th from a full tank. I always get from 88 to 100 miles on the first 8th, now its slightly past it and its at only 58 miles. So there has to be something severely wrong here. I'm driving about 200 miles this weekend, so I can get a better judgment. I figured maybe the front right tire is not properly inflated. Does a brand new tire and an older tire together effect mileage too? Thanks for the help

My driving instructor always makes out to me that I am a poor student leaning to drive my automatic. Just thought I'd do a poll of automatic drivers to see how many people out there found it difficult to learn to drive and how long it took them. Then I can compare to see how I am doing.

I have a Hyundai Santa Fe with tires size 235/60R18. I'll be travelling with full load in haighways but also pebbles roads. The user manual says min 30 max 32 psi, but I didn't have it in the moment I charged air and the service man insisted in 35 psi... what do you think? Is the pressure OK? (Sometimes with the 30 psi pressure I see tha tires like too "soft", so maybe he is all right...

my road test is in an hour. i was just practicing parallel parking in a parking lot with cones, and i kept getting worse as time went by. i was pretty good the other day, but today i definitely was NOT within 6" of the curb.

on my road test:
-will they be really strict about 6"? i was between 6" and about 12"
-do they fail you if you hit the curb?

i live in NJ.

We don't need gas at all you know...bush/america is preparing to use coal instead of gas to reduce the dependency on gas however, I know that this is completely unnecessary, we don't need gas or coal, we need water powered cars and factories(factories create 98% of the world's pollution). Yes WATER POWERED, it's already here however it's under patent and only the military/government is using it currently(supposedly a few car manufactures are looking into it, but it's going to take a long time considering we barely moved into hybrid vehicles). We need to demand this technology if we wish to reduce this global warming, I feel that there isn't much time and the next generations are going to have much trouble if things keep going the way they are.

figures are about 4oz of water per 100 miles on a 4 banger car.
the process is converting H20 into HH0 through an electrolysis process, and then burning the gas, the byproduct should end up as H20(plain water)
