in simple words- the car is closed off and nothing can get in or out unless the window is open. when you start driving everything in the car including the air moves with it. so if you are going 80mph the everything in the car is moving at that same pase, including flies, air and you.

Because the air in the vehicle is moving with the vehicle?
If you like that question, how about this one: If 1000 birds are
allowed to fly inside an airplane in flight, is the plane lighter?
Does it get better fuel economy?
Does it accelerate?

Because air in the moving vehicle is moving with the vehicle. If all of the windows were wide open, the bug would have been long gone!

Because Mother Nature is a genius, the fly can sense the moving air, has one of the best aerodynamic design, and can maintain the illusion of being in midflight while actually constantly monitoring and reacting to its location, and position in the scheme of his physical environment. Can a human scientist/engineer recreate the engineering of such a design?
Maybe . Would like to shake their hand. Lol. "We are not worthy !!" *bow*

This is only true while the car moves at constant speed. if you accelerate, the fly is pushed back.

i know there is a pressure change when you open and close your windows at higher speeds, you can feel your ears pressurize or about to pop when you open and close the window on the freeway.
