My very first car was a 1951 Chevy 2 door. With a three on the tree (3 Speed on the column) and a 6 clyinder. I'm probably older than you by alot of years. But I would love to have it again.

Wow, there are some people with some FINE first cars!
My first car was a silver 1978 Toyota Corolla Liftback SR5. It was nothing exciting, so I used to bug my friends by calling it a sports car and screaming "Sports Car!" whenever I saw one on the road.
It was not exciting, but it was SO reliable. I did nothing to take car of it, but it just ran and ran. It has about 32K miles when I got it, it got passed to my sister at about 130K miles, and she drove it well into the 200K+ miles.
The car did sell me on Toyota--my next two cars after that were also Toyotas. Then--I know TMI. But, I have great memories involving that car...

Oh, man, mine was a 1970 VW Bug! Mustard Yellow, baby! Best thing ever, not least of all because I could actually perform my own tune ups (spark plugs, timing, oil change). Then again, it left me hign n' dry a few times, so it certainly wasn't perfect. But it sure got me just about everywhere, with that typical "rattling-bug" sound.....
And dang, the heating/defrost on that thing was worth every penny!
