It's a rumor I've heard that when you buy a Harley, you'll spend more time fixing it than riding it. Is this usually the case?

When i turn my key on the nutral light does not come on but when i start it with the pull start it does and when i got the motor off the starter will not work nether but when it is started it clicks i got a new battery but that was not the ploblem plz help email me a t f4f579245@yahoo.com or yungdill@peoplepc.com i suggest the yungdill 1 thx

I bought a 1981 Yamaha xs 850 a couple of days ago and just realized that drive shaft is rubbing against the rear tire although the the tire is correct size. I took it to the local repair shop and they told me it may be solved by using a different rear tire since the size of the tire may change a little from one brand to another. Do you think this works? If not, do you have any other suggestions? Thank you.

when i rev up the motor on my 2007 gsx-r600 and let it go back down to idle it has a slight whistle for the 1000rpm before idle but it doesnt whistle when it idles and when its at higher rpm also i think i hear a slight thwacking sound that increses in speed with the rpm i think it may be my clutch not fully dissengauging and it might be slightly hitting something. Any advice as what to do and does my dealership warranty void if i drop the bike?

i have a front tire of 80/100-21 and a rear tire of 110/100-15, they are knobby dirt bike tires, can anyone tell me the conversion to metric, i want to put street tires on my enduro so i can start saving some gas.

Looking for your opinions on ease of tuning, performance, etc.
What modifications do you have? Intake, exhaust, etc.
Curious also what your settings are after final tuning with your combination of parts.

Not looking for suggestions to buy a different unit. I have this, and did not want a Power Commander. I want to compare my findings/feelings with someone else's, not a testimonial from the website. (Real world stuff)

Why does my motorcycle make a loud "clicking" sound when I upshift??? Is this bad for my trans??? Is there something that I am doing wrong? If it makes a difference I ride a 07 Kawasaki Ninja 500R.

I'm 17 and I've never ridden a bike before, but I'm about to take the MSF course, and I want a ZX-14 for my first bike. I also dont want to die the first time I ride it. Is it possible to restrict a ZX-14 to about 70 mph?

I lost the bracket with the 2 nuts that come up thru the rear fender on my 03 FLHT (The bracket to mount seats), and have no idea what it is called, costs, or part #...I lost the old one in a seat change, by forgetting to re-install the 2 nuts on the bolts, and lost the old one while going down the road as it was totally free and loose. Now, I am stuck riding with only my Corbin Stinger, and the wife absolutely HATES it. I also have a Corbin Classic solo and passenger pillion/backrest, sitting there, unable to be used; all I need is this one little bracket, and we are happily back on the road.......does someone out there know where I can get one, or have one to sell or give away? (It's not a high-dollar or much sought-after item, I am sure) In fact, I wouldn't doubt that someone may have one or more of these just lying aropund in their garage or shop, and I would be so grateful for any help....Riding's no fun with momma not happy or comfy, please HELP! It had an old battery/I charged it and it started and rode fine. A couple of rides later the battery died. I put in a new battery and spark plugs. I rode it a couple of times and now acts like the battery is died again. I waited about two hours and it started again. Now it is acting like it has a dead battery again. I don't know what to do next with out spending a great deal of money to get it looked at.

I am entertaining the prospect into purchasing an imported Vespa (Italian) motor scooter, rebuilt, to drive to/from work. Do I need to check with DMV regarding legality, licensing? Do I need to check city ordinances about driving them on the public roads? Import taxes? How often inspected? Anything you can share with me is more than anything I know... Please help me with info as best you can - Thanks!!

I have a Yamaha WR450F dirt bike and when the gas is turned on the gas flows right through the carburetor and drains onto the ground. Is it the intake needle? Any help would be great.

i have a 73 cl 350 the carbs were rebuilt, tuned up, valves and timming chain adjusted. when you get it on a pull around 3rd gear it startes to miss and hesatate. both pluges get carboned bad and turn black then the pluges file out. could this be the coil everything else was replaced.please help me i am going nuts. the honda dealer can,t even find the problem. thanks .jerry

ok well i have a 96'yz 125 it is a 2 stroke.i was recently having problems fouling plugs,i changed from mixing the gas 4oz a gallon to 3 ounces and it has since quit fouling plugs but a new problem has arose...now it wont kick start or ifit will i dont have patience to do it,so i just roll it off..well ive done that for a while now maybe 3 or 4 days..now tha bike doesnt have the power it should,it boggs down and wont take gas at low rpm's and stalls after it boggs down...if you keep it wound up tight it seems to run ok just lacks power...your help in the diagnosis of this problem would be greatley appreciated..AND I WILL CHOSE A BEST ANSWER
