when i rev up the motor on my 2007 gsx-r600 and let it go back down to idle it has a slight whistle for the 1000rpm before idle but it doesnt whistle when it idles and when its at higher rpm also i think i hear a slight thwacking sound that increses in speed with the rpm i think it may be my clutch not fully dissengauging and it might be slightly hitting something. Any advice as what to do and does my dealership warranty void if i drop the bike?

I think its just the air intake. The 2007 has a new intake system that forces air into the motor like a ram air system on a car does. It whistles cuz the intake is sucking in the air when standing still. Also om my bike which is a all together different bike but makes a whine noise sometimes but its just the cam so maybe your; s has the same thing. But your dealer would be able to tell you better then anyone on yahoo so take it back to the dealer. Its a 2007 so anything that could be wrong is under factory warranty.

It could be a partially blocked fuel injector.
Lift the tank, remove the air box cover, run the bike and listen around.

I recommend checking the sound from your air intake.
