My motorcycle runs great and it runs strong but i noticed last summer it was making a weird noise from the rear. It sounded like something was broke, like a penny in a container type of noice from back there but i heard it once in a while. But going fast, you heard it louder and make the bike run sluggish. They say it's the bearing but i'm scared it might be tranny or engine as some people said. Going to get it checked out but could it be the engine eventhough the bike runs strong and nearly perfect. Going to get it serviced this weekend, kinda nearvous. Also anyone has a scorpio i500 for sale, my remote works but glass cracked or know where i can buy one used/or new?? Thanks!!

When starting,starter will engage but grinding sounds and will not start. pulled starter and its fine. Any ideas?

1982 KZ440 LTD

I've been trying to get this silly thing running today but I haven't had any luck. I installed a starter I got off ebay, hooked up the chain and cog, replaced the side cover, filled with oil, and then hit the start button.

Click. Click.

I hear the solenoid clicking and I can feel the starter "jump" a little and get a bit warm (after several attempts at the clicking). But... no fire.

The old starter was burned up--totally blackened on the inside and it smelt terrible. So... any thoughts on what is causing this? The solenoid maybe? Bad starter (again) from ebay?

I am 5 months pregnant. We already have a 7 year old. My husband and I both work full time and have decent jobs. We have no problem paying our bills. Hubby has even been putting almost $1000 per month into savings.
He really wants to buy a Harley-Davidson. It's a very nice bike, yes, I like it too.
We're just a little nervous about doing it right now. Hubby is very concerned about what others will think of him buying this bike with a pregnant wife.
Please let me know your opinions. Thank you!

Back again, I purchased a Kawasaki Vulcan 900 two months ago brand new. I added the extended warranty a $385 value. Since I'm really closed to the 600 miles I called my local dealer for the first maintanance svc. The guy told me that it would cost me $170.00 to do the oil and filer and if adjustments are need then they will adjust. I'm not really sure about the price but to me thats a lot of money basicly for an oil and filter change.

Today is the last day that I can cancell the extended warraty (60 days). I was reading the terms on the contract and it says that if the bike is not properly maintain at the dealer the warranty would be voided. I can do oil and filter change with no problem. So my question is... Is it really worth it to have the extended warranty when they charge so much for reg. maintance? The bike automaticly comes with a 1yr warranty.

Ok...for all of you who answerd my question about the 4 inline carbs on the 82 suzuki 650, Im not real sure the gas is leaking from the carbs...It seems to be coming form the base of the idle screw...is there a seal there or a fuel line that may be leaking? I can feel the bottom of the idle screw but i cant see it.

It gets pretty cold here in California during the winter, and some days on the morning commute the temperature drops to nearly 50 degrees. Suddenly there are absolutely no other Harley's on the road and I fear its because of the fair-weather nature of my brethren. Given, I hang up the chaps and leather vest for an insulated aerostitch, and I know for a fact most Harley guys wouldn't want to be seen in anything as protective as that. But why is it so many Harley guys park the bike for the cold months and only ride 6 months out of the year? I'm a bada** biker, why aren't they? I'm worried the comments people make about Harley riders being wannabe sheep may be true. So why don't the Harley folks ride in the cold weather?

i need to check my solanoid and starter motor on my bike (fazer 600) because it wont start,it makes a load clicking noise when i try to start it, i dont think its the battery because the lights work fine and basically i havent a clue where to start .......can anyone help ?

Original or copy of all papers is require to keep with motorcycle in India? Is it mandatory to carry all original papers (say tax, registration, blue book, pollution, insurance etc) with motorcycle ? I think it is very risky. Is it possible to carry only the photo copy of all these papers ?
