Motorcycles are just like cars, it all depends on the driver.
I, personally, have ridden year round and enjoyed it. Rain or shine. If you enjoy your bike then you will ride it day and night, if you are a fanciful rider, then you will enjoy your bike in the sun more than the rain.
People actually drive their cars an average of 15,000 miles per year, motorcyclists will average at least half or more of their yearly car miles.

My riding range is anywhere from 8,000 to over 20,000 per year depending on if I go to rallies or not. Within the last year and a half in Florida I put about 18,000 miles on my Vulcan 750. It all depends on where you live and how much you like to ride, for me as long as it is not a hurricane or icy I am on my bike.

Depends, depends, depends.
On where you live, how you ride, what you ride, when you ride, why you ride.............
I've put almost 8000 miles on mine since July 1st.
I don't think that's a lot.
Then again, I've bought 20 year old bikes that only had that many miles.
How much is too much?
Depends.
