Iam unable to obtain a sevice manual for this scooter.

I have a 1981 yamaha XS850S (3 cylinder) and when I'm in 2nd gear and give it gas it makes the bike jerk back and forth real quick. It does not do this in any other gear. Anyplace to start would help? Thank you.
