Looks like the igniter on the bike has given up. Suzuki parts number 32900-43400. It appears to have been manufactured by Kokusan Denki. Their parts number is BBI208. Looking for a replacement that makes economic sense.

Here's the problem:

-'85 en 454 ltd overheats progressively over 5-10 miles; too hot to ride further (heat gauge just keeps going from cool to blazing every single time I ride and I don't know what to fix).

Here's what I checked:

-the water pump, coolant circulation/leaks, radiator, fan, thermostat,

Every component of the cooling system worked fine. The overheating happens whether or the weather is hot or cold.

What else can I check to find out the source of the overheating?

Thank you anybody who could help with this.

Bike is a Yamaha v-star 1100 custom. Light bar is a mapam mounted right under the light into factory holes and has a slight downward angle, light bar is not rounded, it's flat with a 90 degree bend for custom mounting. If I mount the turn signals and passing lights they will be pointing at the ground, lights are kuryakyn silver bullets

I need a Powercommander tuner shop or someone who knows a shop to ask them about compatibility. I have asked Powercommander but I think their answer is based on sales not help. A good friend of mine purchased a Powercommander PC-IIIr in 2003 for his 2003 HD Road King FLRHCI(touring bike).
I recently acquired a 2005 HD Road Glide FLTRI(touring bike). As a Christmas present he sent me his barely used PC-IIIr model number 807-311. On the box it says the 807-311 is for HD touring bikes 2002-2003 (of course since he purchased it in 2003 it won't say upto 2005) The PC website http://www.powercommander.com/ says to use the model 807-511 for 2002-2006 HD touring bikes. Here is what I know.
The 807-311 connects to a laptop using a serial cable.
The 807-511 connects to a laptop using a USB cable. Further upgrades allow RPM redline adjustments and an excellerator pump function. I am hoping that the 807-311 will also work for 2002-2007 HD Touring bikes with fuel injection. Thoughts

My pals like to ride at night, and my heavily modded CR is way too loud for this.I need an ultra quiet silencer for my bike.I dont care about performance loss since this silencer will only be used for night riding, not racing, and my bike is faster than I am willing to go anyway. Bonus if it has a spark arrestor. Only fully repackable suggestions pleeze!

While watching American choppers on TV I noticed the guys cutting sheet metal with a cutting disc, without a safety guard, the disc did not jam or catch like the old abrasive discs do, does anyone know what these cutting discs are ?

To be more specific, I have a Honda Shadow ACE and because the roads are so bad where I live (Trinidad, WI) I often need to take the shock of the road bumps on my legs (i.e take my body weight on my legs) rather through the seat and kidneys.

In extreme cases, when riding over the mountain roads the only way to cross certain sections is to stand up - dual sport style. The standard forward pegs make this difficult to do and the passenger pegs are bit too high and far back.

I was looking at putting some passenger peg extensions just to make it easier. However, if any one has used these is it possible for the rider to use them and where, do they sit in relation to the present passenger pegs.

I could replace the bike for a dual sport, but where the challenge in that?
