No they never have. The lion is on a Ferrari. And they only make cars.

I have seen a decal with a lion on it, but I don't think they have ever used it as an official logo. I know they use a hog and a bald eagle in most of their ads.

I do not believe so.

Harley-Davidson attempted to trademark "hog," but in 1999 ultimately lost the case, with the appellate panel ruling that "hog" had become a generic term for large motorcycles, and is therefore unprotectable as a trademark. (Wikipedia)
