I have been told by a mechanic that high-octane petrol like speed, Xtra mile etc can damage the engine in long turn. On my 2 stroke Yamaha Rx 135, I have noticed less Engine noise & better pickup when using High-octane fuel. Please give your opinion.

I am looking into buying a brand new 2006 Buell Blast crotch rocket street bike. The price is about $4,500. This bike gets 76 mpg. This is an American made bike so the parts will be cheaper if I have to repair something. Buell is sold at most Harley Davidson places. Here are some other specs about the bike:

492 cc single cylinder engine
Holds 2.8 gallons of fuel
360 Pounds
4 stroke

Here is the site for the full specs:
http://www.buell.com/en_us/bikes/blast/blast/specs.asp

The only thing I'm worried about is will this 492cc engine be able to carry my weight alright. I don't need to go like 140 mph as I don't want to kill myself on my first bike but I would atleast like to be able to do 70 - 75 mph. They say this is a good begining bike but I don't want to be just "puttin" along. I'm about 5'9 and weigh 142 pounds. Could you all please tell me what you think about the bike and what its average top speed would be? Thanks!

I bought a 125cc bike for myself to use, and my fiance to learn on, its regestered in her name, as i have a few other vehicles, she text me the other night to tell me it was over, and has not only told me she is keeping my bike, but has padlocked it to her garage floor. i have proof of purchase, so i know the bike is legally mine, despite what i read on other postings(iv seen lawyer so i know where i stand) but the padlock thing is a new development, can i damage or take bike with padlock? im now worried i can get arrested for stealing, or damaging goods over this dam lock and chain? she is away, and i have access to my old garage, so im not breaking and entering, its not fair that she dumps me out of the blue, AND keeps my new bike

Help...........thanks all

Hello. I am looking to buy my boyfriend a crotch rocket street bike for Christmas. But I don't really know much about motorcycles. I found a cheaper one on Ebay that is brand new and has a 200 cc motor. My boyfriend's 19 and weighs about 150 pounds. I want to get him something nice but don't want to spend over $3,000. I plan on paying payments on it but I just don't know what to get him. Please help me any way that you all can. Thanks!

I've heard that it's more fun to drive a 'slow' (i.e. the Ninja 250) bike fast than a fast bike slow. I've read that the Ninja 250's astronomical redline and light weight make it a blast to sprint around in. Is it only a good starter bike, or can it be a keeper?
