I have been told by a mechanic that high-octane petrol like speed, Xtra mile etc can damage the engine in long turn. On my 2 stroke Yamaha Rx 135, I have noticed less Engine noise & better pickup when using High-octane fuel. Please give your opinion.

A 2 stoke engine is a low compression engine that runs best on reg gas. Reg. gas makes more H.P. than "Premium", Premium stops knocks and pings (something two strokes do anyway, no matter what fuel you add). Fuel is very poor now, what you are looking for is a product called "Carbon Guard", this keeps the fuel from getting sticky, and burns better, 1oz treat 8 gallons so it's pretty cheap to use, I recommend it, I use it in my outboard and the plugs are squeeky clean !

High octane burns hotter, thats why its not so good unless recommended. Use what the manufacturer recommends but use quality fuel like Chevron or Texaco fuels.
